LECTURE SERIES ON "THE INTERNATIONAL POLITICS OF THE MEDITERRANEAN", NAPLES 2004-2005

The International Politics of the Mediterranean in between the Euro-Med and the Greater Middle East

In 2005, the Fondazione Mediterraneo carried out a series of lectures to celebrate its decade of commitment to the Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue. This lecture series aimed to increase the knowledge and awareness of key issues in the international relations of the region by gathering internationally renowned scholars, in particular those from English-speaking academic and foreign policy circles community who have been critical of current American foreign policy towards the Middle East and supportive of a more assertive and co-operative European role in the Mediterranean. The lecture series was run by Fabio Petito, Massimo Galluppi and Franco Mazzei of l’Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale”.
