By maintaining the focus on the Mediterranean, the 5th edition of
the Napolifilmfestival marks a return a traditional film contests.
This year, the usual “window to the East” is dedicated
to Tibet. One hopes to extend the knowledge of the ordeal of this
country and its people, with large parts of its populations having
been chased and their basic human rights being violated repeatedly.
The Fondazione Laboratorio Mediterraneo wanted to sustain this important
event, since it contributes to the aspiration to make of Naples
a centre for dialogue and encounter of different identities: a city
which can “think European” and “Breath Mediterranean”.
